Terms
What we promise, and what we don't.
Effective
These are the terms behind the work. How the money moves, what you own, what we refuse to promise you, and what happens when either of us wants out. If you have read the pricing page, nothing here should surprise you.
Who you're dealing with
Citrus Local LLC is a California limited liability company based in Irvine, California, serving Orange County, San Diego & the Inland Empire. “Citrus Local” is the name we trade under. On this page “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Citrus Local LLC, and “you” means the person or the business reading it.
What these terms cover
Two things. Using citruslocal.com, including the free audit and every form on it. And the baseline for hiring us, which every engagement starts from.
If you sign a statement of work with us, that document sets your scope, your price, and your dates. Where it says something different from this page, your statement of work wins. This page fills the gaps it doesn't cover.
Using the site
Read it, quote it, link to it. The free audit is free and carries no obligation, and asking for one doesn't sign you up for anything. What you may not do is scrape the site to resell, republish our pages as your own, or try to break into the parts that aren't public.
We keep the site accurate and running, and we don't promise it will never be wrong or never go down. Prices shown here are current as of the date at the top of this page.
What we sell, and what it costs
Plans are priced “from” a floor, because a one-location shop and a three-location competitor in a harder market are not the same job. On the call we adjust the scope, which means locations, competition, and content volume. We don't adjust the deal terms. Those are the same for everyone.
If you're a founding client, your rate stays locked for as long as you stay, even when the published floors go up.
Billing
- The website is $0. The build is included in your monthly plan and is never billed separately, not at signing, not at launch, not later.
- Monthly plans are billed in advance, starting the month your new site is live and you have approved it. Not before.
- Annual is paid once, up front. 10 months cover 12. It is billed when your site goes live, by ACH or bank transfer rather than card, and it does not auto-renew. We'll ask you before a new term starts.
- The AI roadmap session is $950, charged one time, and credited in full toward Get Picked or Get Booked if you start within 30 days.
- Ad spend is yours and separate. When we run ads, you pay the platform directly and our fee covers the management. We never mark up your spend.
Our fees don't include sales tax. Services like ours generally aren't taxable in California, and if tax ever applies to something we sell you it will be on the invoice before you pay it.
If an invoice goes unpaid we'll email you. If it's still unpaid 15 days later we can pause the work until it clears. Your site stays live and your accounts stay yours while it's paused.
Ending it
Monthly: cancelling takes an email. You stop paying at the end of the month you already paid for. Nothing gets switched off, nothing gets held hostage, and everything listed under ownership below leaves with you.
Annual, once you've paid for a term:
- Pause up to two months a year, for a slow season or a job that eats your calendar. Your term extends by the months you pause and the site stays live.
- Credit if your business changes shape. Sell it, close it, or add a location, and the months you haven't used become credit toward whatever plan fits. Credit, not cash.
- The one-way clause. If we stop delivering the work, your unused balance comes back to you. That one runs in your favor only, and it's on us.
- It isn't refundable for a change of heart. That's exactly why we tell owners to start monthly and switch to annual after they've seen the report a few times.
We can end an engagement too, with 30 days' notice. If we do it mid-term on an annual plan, the one-way clause above applies and you get the unused balance back.
What you own
Your domain. Your website and everything published on it. Your content, your photos, your data. Your Google Business Profile, your ad accounts, your phone number. All of it is yours while we work together and all of it is still yours the day we stop. Work we create for you becomes yours once you've paid for the month it was made in.
What stays ours is the toolkit we brought with us: our own code, internal systems, templates, and the way we do the work, including anything we built before your project or outside it. We reuse that for other clients. It never contains your data or your content.
We'd like to show your results as a case study, with your name on it. Tell us no in writing and we won't, and that answer costs you nothing.
What we don't promise
We do not guarantee rankings, review counts, call volume, or revenue. Nobody honest does. Google, Meta, and the AI assistants set their own rules, change them without telling anyone, and rank whoever they decide to rank.
What we do promise is the work itself, done well, reported plainly, every month. That is the whole reason we're month to month. You get to re-decide every thirty days, and we have to earn it every thirty days.
We also can't promise that a platform will never suspend, restrict, or change your account for reasons that have nothing to do with our work.
Your part
- Feedback in a reasonable time, so the work doesn't stall waiting on approval.
- Access to the accounts we need, like your Google Business Profile and your website.
- Accurate information about your business: licenses, warranties, service areas, hours. We publish what you tell us.
- The rights to whatever you hand us. If you give us a photo, a logo, or copy, you're confirming you're allowed to use it.
Texting and emailing your customers
Review requests and follow-ups go out from your business number, under your name. You're the sender, we're the people who built and run it. Before we send anything to a list you give us, you confirm those are your own customers and that you may contact them. That confirmation matters, because the law puts the obligation on the sender.
We ask for reviews. We never buy them, never write them, and never filter out the unhappy ones before they reach Google. If you want that, we're the wrong agency.
Texts we send from our own number are covered by our SMS Terms, and what we do with your information is in our Privacy Policy.
Other companies' services
The work runs on platforms neither of us controls, including Google, Meta, your website host, and our payment processor. Your relationship with those companies is governed by their terms, not ours. We aren't responsible when one of them goes down, changes a policy, or suspends an account for a reason outside our work.
If something goes wrong
Our total liability for anything connected to this site or our work is capped at what you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits.
You cover us for claims that come out of material you gave us to publish, like someone else's photo, copy, or trademark, or out of a list you told us we could contact. We cover you for claims that our own original work infringed somebody's rights.
Disagreements
Email hello@citruslocal.com first and we'll get on a call within ten business days. Most of what looks like a dispute is a misunderstanding about scope, and a call fixes it. If it genuinely can't be settled that way, California law governs and the courts in Orange County, California hear it.
Housekeeping
If a court strikes one part of these terms, the rest still stands. Neither of us can hand this agreement to somebody else without the other's written okay, except when a business is sold as a whole. Nothing here makes us partners, employer and employee, or each other's agent.
Changes
If we change these terms we'll update the date at the top. If a change is material, we tell active clients directly rather than hoping they notice.
